The Parent Advisory Centre

The Parent Advisory Centre provides unique support for parents of children receiving additional therapy. Typically therapies include Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social Skills training and Play Therapy. The Parent Advisory Centre is based at Ruth Jacobs Childrens Therapy in Chelsea, West London.

Offering a blend of practical information and personal experience, the Centre is run by a dedicated parent of three children (one with a Statement of Special Educational Needs/SEN). She is a practising ABA tutor, trained in the UK education system and qualified in Training & Development and in Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

In our experience parents gain confidence through the process of gathering information following and prior to diagnosis of SEN or specific difficulties. By seeing the 'bigger picture' following a diagnosis parents can plan ways forward through the statementing process and beyond.
